Medicine Hat is Alberta's sixth largest city, with a population of over 61,000. It is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway, the eastern terminus of the Crowsnest Highway, and the South Saskatchewan River, 293 km (182 miles) from Calgary and 168 km (182 miles) from Lethbridge.
